Your Views on Lost 6x14 - The Candidate

I just watched it...I am speechless...

DeliciousJoe said... "Back at the airport you told me that he was gone and it hurt to hear that but I knew that you were right. You're father's gone, Mr. Locke"
"No, no he's not,"
"Yes, yes he is and you can punish yourself as much as you want and that's not going to bring him back. What happened, happened. And...you can let it go."
"What makes you think letting go is so easy?"
"It's not. In fact, I don't really know how to do it myself. And that's why I was hoping you could go first."
"Goodbye, Dr. Shepard,"
"I can help you John. I wish you believed me..."

LOST never fails to make some of the best quotes put on television. This dialogue from "The Candidate" is no exception I love this show so much.

I can't agree more...

  1. I'm still in awe over it. Seriously The first one was to be expected, at least in my opinion. But the last two? Yikes!!! :-(

  8. The writers have Lost, no pun itended, most of the audience that tuned in and loved the adventure of the first 3 seasons. Turning the complete writing duties over to Carlton and Damon was a HUGE mistake. I think they sit around and get F'd up and just through sh*t against the wall.
The thing everyone loved was the adventure and excitement of the first 3 seasons...then they got to into individual story lines that drug out and are just now trying to weave everyone back together (or kill them off). The last 2-3 seasons have gotten progressively worse and although I will finish it out, the story is A COMPLETE LET DOWN!!! Carltn, and Damon suck as writers and story developers!

  9. The interesting aspect of the four survivors is that, in contrast to the other candidates, not only got touched, but also got a gift from Jacob: Jack a candy bar, Sawyer a pencil, Hurley a guitar case and Kate the box she stole (at least he paid for it). Think it means something?

  12. I think Jack is going to be the new Jacob. He seems to be 'walking the path' now.

  13. I think Lost is still doing the same thing, make you think what is not going to happen!!

  14. I'm still hanging on to the hope that somehow Locke (Man in Black) is one of the good guys! Although after that episode it doesn't look like that gonna happen. He was always my favorite.

  15. BlogginDog is right. Enjoy the rest of the series, everyone. But the legacy of this show will not be its drama, storytelling, originality or style. That would have been the case a few years ago, when it was great. Now I fear the LOST legacy will be the amazing feat of keeping people watching (including BlogginDog and me!) even when we fear the worst. We're being let down, even if they let us down slowly...
